Zug loses semi-final first leg in Finland

In the semifinals of all places, EVZ suffered their first defeat in the CHL. But the starting position for the second leg is not hopeless.

It is the duel between the Finnish and Swiss champions. The winner moves into the final of the Champions Hockey League. Achieving this is a major goal for the people of Zug. But with Tappara Tampere a team is standing in their way, which is becoming a tough nut for EVZ.

Zug’s coach Dan Tangnes warned after the 4-2 defeat in Kloten on Sunday that patience and discipline would be needed to get a good starting position against the Finns for the second leg on January 17th. But the people of Zug lack both.
