Put a teaspoon in water, the adulterants will float after a few minutes while the genuine spices will sink.

1. Cumin

Add some to a glass of warm water. Leave it be and do not mix it, if it settles down without mixing, then it’s pure.

3. Black Pepper Corn

When crushed, the genuine seeds will have a smooth exterior and are yellow on the inside.
