Shortly before Christmas, a resident of Bad Staffelstein in Bavaria made a terrible discovery: through a window he saw his dead neighbor Markus W.* († 45), the local butcher. He is said to have lived very withdrawn for a year, reports the “Bild”.

The police were called. When officers searched W.’s house, they discovered a freezer. Inside: the corpse of an elderly lady († 70). As it turned out shortly afterwards, this was W.’s mother, who had not been seen by neighbors and friends for a year.
