The number of no votes was 73 percent, according to the Liechtenstein government’s voting portal. In none of the eleven municipalities was it enough for the casino ban initiative to win a majority.
One hopes “that the industry can now consolidate without further tightening of the law,” said the casino association after the announcement of the result. Since the market launch five years ago, casinos have already been exposed to around 20 changes in laws and regulations.
