A climate activist couple (22 and 24) blocked federal highway 10 near Stuttgart in September. “Save oil instead of drilling” is the demand on their banners.
Apparently, climate protection stops for the two during the holidays, as reported by “Bild”. In November, both had to answer for the blockade action before the district court in Stuttgart. They were charged with coercion.
“They booked the flight as private individuals, not as climate protectors. You have to be able to tell them apart »A spokesman for the action alliance “Last Generation”

Greenpeace recommends local targets
The two climate activists first jetted to Thailand and from there to Bali. During such a long-distance flight, around eight tons of CO2 are blown into the air and 140,000 liters of kerosene are consumed. The climate stickers didn’t seem to care.
“They booked the flight as private individuals, not as climate protectors. You have to be able to tell them apart,” said a spokesman for the “Last Generation” action group, defending the climate protectors’ vacation trip.

“One should think carefully about whether it has to be a long-distance journey by plane. We recommend local holiday destinations and traveling by train,” criticized German Greenpeace spokesman Gregor Kessler (52). (nad)
