On the 1st anniversary, new January temperature records were set at several measuring stations in Switzerland. 20.2 degrees in Delsberg JU, 19.2 degrees in Altdorf SZ, like Weather News reports.
It wasn’t just in Switzerland that it was extraordinarily warm at the turn of the year, but also in the rest of Europe. Even in Moscow – usually freezing and snowy at this time of year – there is a thaw for a few days.

This will not change much in the next few days. It is also likely to remain warmer than average in Switzerland. According to Meteo News, the “extraordinarily mild southwest flow” is weakening. In the lowlands, temperatures are in the double digits during the day all week. (kes)
