Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has commented on the attacks in Jerusalem.

After two attacks in East Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (73) announced a “strong” response. “Our response will be strong, quick and precise,” Netanyahu said on Saturday night before an emergency security cabinet meeting. “We are not looking for an escalation, but we are prepared for any scenario,” Netanyahu said in television footage released by his office.

A day after a bloody attack in front of a synagogue that left seven dead, violence between Israelis and Palestinians continued to escalate on Saturday. A 13-year-old Palestinian opened fire near the old city, according to police, injuring a father and his son.
