Putin friend Medvedev goes nuts over video sent to Russian opponents of the war
“US government are sons of bitches”
In a video message, the Americans appealed for Russian solidarity because of the war in Ukraine. Too much for Putin’s close confidante and ex-president Dmitry Medvedev.
Russian politician Dmitry Medvedev has called the US government “son of a bitch”.
Ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (57) has insulted the US government as “freaks” and “sons of bitches”. They would use the tricks of Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945).
The Putin friend also said on Thursday, according to the Reuters news agency, that a Russian warship with hypersonic weapons was on its way to the Atlantic coasts of the NATO countries. And announces: “This is our main gift for the New Year!”
Medvedev was reacting to a video from the American embassy in Russia: The 50-second clip expresses American solidarity with the Russians, who reject the Ukraine war. What is happening there is “not worthy of her,” it says. In addition, pictures from the Ukraine war are shown.
“We appeal to the population”
It also says: “We are with each and every one of you who longs for a more peaceful future.” A graffiti with the words “No to War” (“No to War”) can be seen. “We appeal to the people: Our countries have cooperated to overcome the greatest challenges in the world,” said the American government in Russian.
In the course of history, the two countries have recorded many “common points in culture and progress”. “Your literature is taught in our schools, your works are performed in our most prestigious cultural institutions.”
Pictures of Soviet cosmonauts, writers such as Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821-1881) and politicians such as Leonid Brezhnev (1906-1982), Mikhail Gorbachev (1931-2022) and Boris Yeltsin (1931-2007) are also shown. Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin (70) is not among them.
Crazy predictions for 2023
Medvedev was head of the Kremlin between 2008 and 2012 and was seen at the time, especially among young people, as a beacon of hope for a freer Russia. Since the start of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, however, he has been making contemptuous comments about the neighboring country.
Only recently Medvedev caused a stir with New Year’s predictions. On Twitter he shared which ten things will happen in 2023. Among other things, the EU will collapse. Germany, Poland and other countries would form the Fourth Reich and thus lead to the division of Europe. Subsequently, Medvedev predicts a war between the Fourth Reich and France. A civil war would break out in the United States. In the course of this, Texas and Mexico would establish themselves as a joint state. (twa)
