At around 4:50 a.m. on Saturday morning, an explosion occurred in a barracks in the western Russian city of Belgorod. The cause: A Russian non-commissioned officer accidentally detonated a hand grenade. He wanted to use a threat to gain more authority from the officers under him.
According to the Internet portal “Baza”, the man is said to have handled the grenade in a “cultural center converted into a military quarters” near the city of Korocha. He detonated the hand grenade in the bedroom.
The detonation of the grenade detonated the ammunition that was in the armory, as “Mash” reports. The explosion caused a fire in the building, which spread to an area of 450 square meters.

Three soldiers were killed and 16 injured. According to the Russian news agency Interfax, eight people are still missing.
